Handmade Easter Treats

I'm stopping in today to share with you the treat bags that I made for my co-workers.  I had purchased these small white paper bags for treats at my daughter's graduation last year and I saw this Pinterest pin and couldn't resist a chance to distribute some Easter fun.  I simply used a black Sharpie marker to make the eyes and nose and a pair of scissors to cut the "ears" out of the top of the bag.

Inside each bag is a small handful of chocolate, foil-wrapped eggs and each bag is tied with a pink tulle bow - making these darling little rabbits an adorable treat.

All in all, I think I made nearly 27 of these - which I handed out at work this week.  Check back tomorrow for my Easter cards which were mailed last weekend.

Happy Birthday Mabel

Today I'm stopping by to share the card I made my grandmother to celebrate her 91st birthday.  Navy blue is her favorite color and I couldn't resist making it the centerpiece for this card.  Also, a little gold embellishment never hurt either.

The peonies are white heat embossed onto watercolor paper and I used my Mission Gold watercolors to add color the paper.  I was real pleased with how these turned out.  I found some greenery pieces from the stash and used my SSS Stitched Rectangles dies to make a white frame.  The sentiment is gold embossed - on the outside and on the inside.  I mixed two different sentiment stamps to make this inside sentiment.  She really is fabulous and I super hope that she feels special today, her actual birthday.

I scheduled this post as I am currently in the process of hosting a dinner celebration at my house.  It's getting late for my grandma, so we'll be wrapping up soon - which means she won't get a peek at her card before she opens it.

Happy Birthday, Grandma.  I love you so.

Wishing You A Extra Glittery Happy Birthday

The dies used on the outside and inside of this super fun card was created with the Spellbinders February 2018 Large Die of the Month Club Dies.  Brandy used Nicole Spohr's card as inspiration with just one twist, the background stamp is a My Favorite Things Big Happy Birthday background stamp.  It works just a well here and it was just a sitting in the stash waiting to be used!

The chunky glitter is a perfect pairing here - I super want to try to piece!

The cheeky inside sentiment is adorable and who wouldn't want to receive the pop up greeting on your birthday?  Join me in celebrating one fantastic card from Brandy!

City Crafter Challenge - M is for Monogram and Golden Birthday Celebrations

I'm joining the fun over at City Crafter Challenge Blog since Brandy is hosting this week's challenge.  If you haven't joined the challenge - Brandy has sponsored the challenge by offering blog candy, but more on that in a minute.

This card was made at the request of my grandma for my cousin's daughter, Mabel.  Mabel is named after my grandma and she celebrated her 18th birthday on the 18th - a golden birthday celebration.  It is a special occasion and I wanted to give my grandma something extra special to share with Mabel and mark the occasion.

You'll notice the prominence of gold in the design of each frame in this multi-framed card.

The star of the show is the Concord and 9th Monogram stamps.  I borrowed Brandy's set to make this card - she shares graciously!  On each monogram I gold embossed one element and used my Papertrey Ink for all colors.

A gold embossed sentiment on the back, noting that the pearl accents were a must in this color scheme.  Here's a photo of the final, finished card.

I'm going to link this card up over at the City Crafter Challenge this week.  The City Crafters were willing to allow Brandy to host this week's challenge and offer some blog candy to the winner of the challenge.  One person will be gifted an "A is for Awesome" Concord and 9th monogram stamp for joining in the fun.

Head on over to check out the challenge M is for Monogram over at the City Crafter Challenge Blog.

As an extra special treat, Brandy and I will be giving away one set of the Concord and 9th monogram stamp set (same as above) and the coordinating dies to one of you who comment on our blog during any post this week.  Comment on each blog post and becoming a follower for extra chances to win!  We'll pull a name as a random selection for all comments made before midnight MST March 26th.  Wishing you a win at either the City Crafter Challenge and/or here at Contagiously Crafty!

Since they are celebrating Concord and 9th's birthday over at the Time Out Challenge blog, I'm linking up to their challenge, Challenge #105 Our 4th Birthday.

Lastly, I decided to link up to Simon Says Stamp's Work It Wednesday - March post

City Crafter Challenge - M is for Monogram Part 2

We're participating with the City Crafters in their challenge M is for Monogram this week.  Brandy whipped up these cards using the Concord and 9th Monogram stamp and die set.  This stamp set comes with tiny flower and leaf stamps that fit perfectly into the monogram background stamp.  Additionally, the matching die set cuts the monogram out with a border or a stitched rectangle without a border.

Brandy's creation was made using Altenew inks and coordinating solid cardstocks.  Such a simple design, but very effective!

City Crafter Challenge Blog - M is For Monogram

I'm so super excited to share this card from Brandy with you and announce a special collaboration we've set up with the ladies over at the City Crafter Challenge Blog.  Kirsty is the hostess of this blog and her lovely design team inspires challenges each week following different themes.  You have seen both Brandy and I join the fun on occasion.  Brandy and I both were knocked out by the Concord and 9th January release of the Monogram stamps and dies.  Concord and 9th has a strong place in our crafting community built on solid design and functionality.  Their stamps have great beauty and finesse, but they also have an ease of use functionality that allows one to create very different projects from the same tools.

Which brings us to the challenge.  The City Crafters were willing to allow Brandy to host this week's challenge and offer some blog candy to the winner of the challenge.  One person will be gifted an "A is for Awesome" Concord and 9th monogram stamp.

Brandy's creation was made using Altenew inks and the stamp and dies to create this wonderful card.  she's sent a few more versions that I need to edit the photos and get posted for your inspiration.  I'm hard pressed to know whether to join the challenge and make something of my own or edit those photos, ha ha.

Either way, check out the challenge M is for Monogram over at the City Crafter Challenge Blog.

As an extra special treat, Brandy and I will be giving away one set of the Concord and 9th monogram stamp set (same as above) and the coordinating dies to one of you who comment on our blog during any post this week.  Comment on each blog post and becoming a follower for extra chances to win!  We'll pull a name as a random selection for all comments made/followers added before midnight MST March 26th.  Wishing you a win at either the City Crafter Challenge and/or here at Contagiously Crafty!

Finishing a Set - Notecards from the Stash

I'm stopping in to share my hard work from this weekend.  I decided to finish up the assembly line for the cards that I mentioned earlier in the week.  Here's the line up in a variety of colors.

Some of the images are better colored than others, but I think all the cards turned out lovely.  So much fun and useful too.  These will go in the stash to be a gift or something similar.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I wanted to stop in and share this card in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.  The die cuts were made using new to me Taylored Expressions dies.  It was tedious to put together,  but very satisfying results.  Brandy let me borrow a Art Impressions sentiment stamp which worked out well.  I pinned a St. Patrick's Day button on the card envelope and passed them out at work yesterday.

Super fun!  I hope your day is filled with green and good eats.  We're enjoying the pleasant aroma of corned beef cooking as I type and my daughter is due home for a spring break visit later tonight.  It's a good day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
