Valentine's Day Treats

I am much delayed in posting my Valentine's Day wishes.  Maybe in part because my hubby's Valentine, though homemade, was scrap-lifted from the recent issue of Paper Crafts magazine.  The look and sentiment was just right.

The wordsearch was made with an online tool.  I added other words- my name, our kids names (Tim and Katie), joy, happiness, etc.  It just worked out that Dan's name was featured in the bottom corner.  Perfect place to add the simple swirl as a highlight.  I thought that the card was sufficiently 'manly' but still with a touch of Andie craftiness thrown in. Dan said he liked it.  I think he meant it.

So as not to leave anyone out, I made these Valentine's treats for the folks at work.

The idea came from a link posted on notmartha.   The adorable homemade flowers demonstrated by Jordan at Oh Happy Day were too cute/easy to pass up.  The link provides the instructions for making the flowers and the wax paper bags.  The wax paper envelopes went together in a snap, the sentiment was printed from the computer on white cardstock.  A couple of trims of paper, slide a paper flower pin in it and we're done.  Everyone was particularly festive at work this Valentine's Day.  Maybe the extra chocolate had something to do with it.  I hope you enjoyed your Valentine's Day (belated though this wish is).

Thank you so much for your kind words. Isn't it fun to encourage one another, even from a distance?
